Lamb Cake

Things You’ll Need

 

1/2 cup softened butter or margarine

1 cup sugar

2 cups sifted flour

2 1/2 tsp. Baking powder

3/4 tsp. Salt

3/4 cup milk

1 tsp. Vanilla or almond extract

3 egg whites

 

Decorating Ingredients

 

Lamb mold

Vanilla icing

Coconut

Food coloring

Jelly beans or items for your lamb’s face

 

Let’s Get Baking

 

  1. Preheat the oven at 375 degrees and grease and flour your lamb mold so the cake doesn’t stick.

  2. Sift all the dry ingredients into a bowl. Set aside. Stir butter or shortening in a mixer to soften. Mix in the dry ingredients. While that is mixing, add in your milk and your vanilla or almond extract. Keep mixing until it looks good.

  3. Now that it is done mixing you want to beat your egg whites and then put them in the batter. Let this mix for 1 minute.

  4. Now you will want to put the batter into your lamb mold. You want to fill the the part of the mold that contains the lamb’s face.

  5. Put the other lamb mold on top of the one with the batter in it and make sure it clicks.

  6. Bake this for 45 minutes.

 

Decorating Time

 

  1. Now we are going to make the edible grass. Put your coconut in a bowl and put some food coloring in it. Mix it until it is all colored. Now we are going to spread it on the platter.

  2. Now the lamb has baked and cooled, so we are going to start decorating. Just decorate it how you want to decorate it.

  3. Eat and enjoy!!
